The Liam Macomber Memorial Fund (LMMF) was established in memory of eight month old Liam Matthew, who died unexpectedly in September 2005. The goal of establishing this fund was to assist young adults of the South Shore further their education through scholarship endowments and most importantly, to help families who have experienced a similar loss.

To date, the LMMF has provided financial assistance in excess of $38,000 to area families who have suffered the loss of a child. In addition, over the past six years, twenty four students from Plymouth North and South High Schools have been awarded scholarships totaling $12,000 on behalf of the LMMF to help offset the cost of college expenses.

Our yearly fundraiser is the Plymouth Police/Fire 5K roadrace, or "LIAM'S RUN" which will be held this year on September 23rd 2012 and has helped us in our endeavors to help others.

The success of the Fund and its' endeavors can be measured in large part to the generosity of our sponsors and to the public who participate in the road race. So please, come join us for a fun filled day on Plymouth's Historic Waterfront. The race starts and finishes at East Bay Grille with a scenic USATF certified 5K course through downtown Plymouth, which is followed by an awards ceremony, live entertainment and barbeque.
